Introduction to Photography
Exercise 2.2

Lecture:
This week lecture was about shutter speed and iso. The first function that Mr Vinod explained was shutter speed. Shutter speed is the duration of time the shutter remains open to allow light to reach a digital camera. It's the duration that the CCD is exposed to light.
The exercise for shutter speed was to be done at home. It was about taking pictures of a ceiling fan at different speed and change the shutter speed accordingly. The exercise should be repeated after changing the fan speed from 1 to 2 and from 2 to 3 and so on.

The marking criteria for the exercises are as follows: The student must capture the evidence of the Shutter’s ability to freeze fast moving objects and blur moving objects.

Exercise 2.2
Reflections:
During the shutter speed exercise, I saw that the pictures taken with the highest shutter speed can freeze a fast moving subject matter. This shows that the faster the movement of the subject, the higher shutter speed is needed to freeze it during a shoot.
